Cut flowers are a wonderful addition to any home, they immediately add vibrant color
to your surrounding or brighten someone's day. To maximize the joy you or your gift recipient receive from your floral bouquet or cut flowers it is best to care for the flowers in such a way to provide the longest life. Cut flowers for purposes of this article are any flowers which have been cut and are no longer growing and are therefore like fresh produce.
For all floral products:
DO
Buy from a reputable florist who understands initial rehydration and care processes.
Buy from a florist who un-conditionally guarantees the quality of your purchase.

Understand that your florist is a professional and listen to his or her advise.
DON'T
Place flowers in or near the freezer of your refrigerator.
Leave flowers in a car when running errands (even for a few minutes).
For Un-arranged, Cut Flowers
Recut the stems by ½" and place in fresh, warm water to which floral preservative has been added (mixed according to manufacturer's directions).
Add fresh water daily
Keep in a 55-60° room for maximum longevity.
For Pre-arranged Flowers
Add water daily
Keep in a 55-60° room for maximum longevity.
Remove any stem which has wilted, recut and place in fresh water and replace in arrangement once re-hydrated
For Roses
Care for the same as any other cut flowers
